Highlights
eSUN ePA-CF is a robust filament developed based on Nylon 6/66 copolymer and enriched with 20% carbon fibre. It has increased strength, rigidity and toughness and can replace metal materials in many cases.
Its self-lubricating wear resistance makes the filament ideal for printing gears. In addition, the high toughness and impact resistance enable the production of durable parts that can withstand temperatures of up to 120 °C. The heat distortion temperature of eSUN ePA-CF is around 155℃.
Application of eSUN ePA-CF
- Mechanical engineering
- Automotive applications
- Electronics
- Aerospace
Note: As this is an abrasive material, we recommend using a wear-resistant hardened steel nozzle or a ruby nozzle.
Due to its strong rigidity, ePA-CF is not easy to bend. Excessive bending of the filament should therefore be avoided as much as possible during feeding.
To achieve the best printing results, dry the filament for at least 12 hours at 70 °C before printing. You can use a suitable filament drying box for this.
1.Dry the filaments (70℃/> 12h) before printing to achieve the best printing effect. It is recommended to use them together with eBOX when printing.
2.ePA-CF filament has strong rigidity and is not easy to bend. In the feeding pipeline, excessive bending of filament should be avoided as much as possible.
3.ePA-CF is very easy to grind nozzles and extruder gears. It is recommended to use hardened steel nozzles or ruby nozzles. If possible, hardened steel extruder gears can be selected. If the printing time is long, the blockage will occur and the throat and nozzle need to be replaced.
4. It is suggested to set skirt edge to better take the model from the forming bottom plate.
